Everyone seemed to be using semi-tone movements in synth-guitar riffs, I remember Pharrell doing a lot of this stuff like in 'Lapdance' and 'Like I Love You' which we played in gigs, so I guess this was my stab. I'm fairly sure the title came from a Family Guy episode but I can't for the life of me remember which or why, I just liked the sound of the word 'Pariah'and built a song around it. Deep, I know...

lyrics

Lyrics:

You know that it don’t come easy. You’ve got to work harder clearly, but nobody ever gets near me.
You’d better step down.
I make you feel that you need me, you need to see that you feel me,
You feel the need to see in me but you need to step down.
They say that seeing in believing, but if I saw me I’d be leaving.
Some up-tight lady-lumps are heaving but you don’t step down.
Cos I make it look so easy, so you try but you just won’t beat me, so when I’m done I’ll release me so you can all get down.

We only move as quickly as the person indirectly in front of us, and if that must be me then let it be so I can lead the world as one, have some fun…and let the war be done.

We live to live a little higher, get a job to become a high flier. If you don’t you’re a social pariah and a liar for calling me a liar.
Boss says put your hand in the fire, you wanna tell him he’s a dickhead messiah, but you do it so you don’t get fired…
No wonder you’re tired.

You thought you were hearing another big-dick-rock-star-wannabe with a rock chick., another two on the side who wanna get rich quick. You’d better step down.
I get to put a noise to my thinking, make a sound so I know that you’re listening,
Judge a book if you want but you’re missing why you need to step down.
I spend every day just musing on the way you go on choosing their world over what you’re losing.
You need to sit down
Don’t look for a gun for affection. Take a stand and pay fucking attention.
There’s a bigger battle fought through intention so shut up and sit down.

I don’t believe in lessons that pressure into confessions are necessary to better what we see as present day. We see horizon and we like to think we’re looking ahead, but the horizon was around before we even had legs.
The day owns you. You know this, don’t you? You don’t take ownership over something you don’t know,
Like technology. Are you fucking kidding me? There’s a battle lost way before it was even begun. Ha!
They say that seeing is believing but how much do you need to see to feel the need to take a leaf out of a past that’s coming back way too fast, til at last life bites back and we’re coming last.
The race rules state fools make god’s out of men, but the question was never why or how it was when?
We couldn’t start soon enough. A dog-eat-dog world born out of blatantly disregarding the law.

The honour of creating a soundtrack to moment or memory is one I hope to achieve with you somewhere here in these 13 albums. I've enjoyed living all of them. I hope you will as well. Much love.
