Rubbin'

This actually started as a silly lyric theme I kept annoying my family with on holiday about 'rubbin' him up the wrong way', probably in reference to something rude as is usually my inability NOT to exude.
Eventually there was some messing about on guitars and fx pedals which were left in my studio whilst experimenting with time-signatures which led to the chorus riff, as well as a love for electro/rock/funk - and the manifestation of my holiday ramblings became this naughty little song.

lyrics

Lyrics:

You know I know you don’t you?
I see you inside out.
You see you winning living, but I see you scream and shout.
I may have fallen fighting, but it’s higher here on top.
I thank the one’s who caught me but still you never
(stop)
The wrong way to treat me is by beating me down.
I know I have all your answers but I’m leaving this town.
The day of change is on you and I’ve guided you far.
It’s time to realise your minds are deeper than you are.

You just rub it…
You just love it…

Don’t you know you’re pissing me off
And there ain’t much more to say!
There must be a reason why you’re rubbin’ me up.
Well here it comes…
YOU FUCKED UP ‘COS NOW I’M BACK TO TELL YOU SOMETHING STRANGE,
‘COS I WROTE A SONG ABOUT A MAN WRITING SONGS
ABOUT RUBBIN’ HIM UP THE WRONG WAY!

You think you know me don’t you?
You see I’m inside out.
You see me losing living.
You see me scream and shout.
You know I’ll write a line to the one you know I knew.
So if you know me so well, tell me:

Is it worth it?
Do I deserve it?
Or is it just that I think too much?
Do I drink too much?
Can I smoke enough to hear the rhythm of life?
Or am I looking for answers to make it alright to put you

On your knees in the dirty dog style while underneath your girlfriend works a number 69?
Flip you over, pin you down by your arms.
But don’t be scared - daddy won’t do you no harm.
You’re/I’m just a dirty down hoe with a dirty down past!
You like it soft and slow but you love it hard and fast!
Vicar tried to help he said “get on your knees and pray”,
You nodded at the alter and you blew him away!

You’re rubbin’ me up.
Just rubbin’ me up the wrong way!

Don’t you know you’re pissing me off...
