Another acoustic number from 'Here I Am' album (2001) which I was looking forward to recording all the instruments as a full version once I had the technology and capability, '...Bend' never actually made it past the backing track stage. I went to visit my brother in college in Kent and left him with the backing track, and completely forgot until he came back to visit with a finished song and him smashing the vocals over the top - which was a helluva nice suprise. It kind of distanced me from my own song, like I hadn't written it, in a way. I was still just chuffed to be able to hear my songs in full arrangement as they were in my head, so to have someone else singing my little song and making it sound not-so-little was pretty cool. I still get a buzz out of it now, to be honest.
